Here’s how you want your wedding ring to fit, so that you can wear it day in, day out.
- Not too loose – so a ring that is really loose, will just fall off, that’s obviously a no no. But one that is just a touch too loose, will continuously annoy you. Every time you move your hand it will slide down your finger, stopping at the knuckle and then back again. You want your ring to stay in one place. If your ring moves about too much, you will be constantly thinking about it, worried it might fall off. If a ring is too big, it will hit the fingers beside it as well which can be uncomfortable. To avoid this, choose a ring which has resistance as you push it over the knuckle, and once in position it shouldn’t spin freely.
- Not too tight – A ring which is too tight, is extremely uncomfortable, and can restrict both movement and blood flow to your finger. It is important to make sure your ring isn’t too tight. If you struggle to get the ring over your knuckle, you can’t push it all the way down to the base of the knuckle, the finger is turning white, and the ring is difficult to twist and really hard to get off, then the ring is too tight. You want to be able to get your ring on and off fairly easy, it might need a little twist to get it over your knuckle. You definitely shouldn’t need soap or moisturizer to get it off.
